Assassin's Creed IV Announced

Ubisoft return for a brand new Creed adventure later this year!
In a financial and scheduling report released today by Ubisoft at a press conference, the publishers announced that a new Assassin's Creed video game is currently in development for release later this year.

Currently untitled, the new project will feature a new protagonist (so not Altair, Ezio or ACIII's Connor), a new location and a new time period for players to explore, so clearly the developers have been listening to the feedback of their fans. It seems likely that this new instalment will feature modern Assassins attempting to stop the wrath of Juno using a secret from the past, but who knows? We do know that the development team consists of multiple strands of Ubisoft staff from across the globe, so perhaps a more international adventure is in the works. We can no doubt expect to hear more on the project at E3 this Summer (June).

Assassin's Creed IV is set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo WiiU and further unannounced next-generation consoles this Autumn.
