Who News: First Anniversary Episode Title Debuts

The Cybermen return this Spring- but what episode are they in...?
In the big run-up to the 50th Anniversary year's first full exciting season of eight spectacular blockbuster adventures, we've been pretty light on concrete titles for new episodes of Doctor Who so far. Mercifully, though, that's changed today, as Neil Gaiman has revealed the title of his upcoming second episode for the show. It's called The Last Cyberman, and will apparently focus on "identity, responsibility...and porridge!" in Gaiman's very own words. With that in mind, here's the definitive episode line-up for 2013's adventures as we know it so far...

  • EPISODE 1 (BY STEVEN MOFFAT)- SATURDAY MARCH 30TH
  • EPISODE 2 (BY NEIL CROSS)- SATURDAY APRIL 6TH
  • EPISODE 3 (BY MARK GATISS)- SATURDAY APRIL 13TH
  • PHANTOMS OF THE HEX (BY NEIL CROSS)- SATURDAY APRIL 20TH
  • JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE TARDIS (BY STEPHEN THOMPSON)- SATURDAY APRIL 27TH
  • EPISODE 6 (BY MARK GATISS)- SATURDAY MAY 4TH
  • THE LAST CYBERMAN (BY NEIL GAIMAN)- SATURDAY MAY 11TH
  • EPISODE 8 (SERIES SEVEN FINALE BY STEVEN MOFFAT)- SATURDAY MAY 18TH
  • AN ADVENTURE IN TIME AND SPACE (BIOPIC BY MARK GATISS)- NOVEMBER
  • 50TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL (BY STEVEN MOFFAT)- SATURDAY NOVEMBER 23RD
  • CHRISTMAS SPECIAL (BY STEVEN MOFFAT)- WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 25TH
There'll no doubt be even more to come from Doctor Who that we don't yet know about- a Comic Relief special certainly doesn't seem out of the question, perhaps with a Classic Doctor appearance?- including a host of teased live events, but these eleven epic adventures are at least a very strong foundation for the next ten months ahead. We'll have more on the 50th Anniversary and beyond this and next month: expect a Season Eight announcement for 2014-2015 (with a Part One-Christmas-Part Two format likely) very soon!

Doctor Who returns to BBC1 on Easter Saturday.
