Announcements
on Bryan Singer’s new superhero film project X-Men: Days Of Future Past are coming nearly as thick and fast as Doctor Who 50th Anniversary
news reveals these days, and that trend has continued today with yet another
casting revelation for the 2014 flick. Already, the cast list for the movie is
a hefty one, boasting James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence,
Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen
Page and Shawn Ashmore, so any further additions will naturally just serve to
increase our heightened anticipation for it.
Singer
confirmed on his Twitter account today that Peter Dinklage has joined the cast. Dinklage is famed for his
brilliant portrayal of Tyrion Lannister in Game
Of Thrones, and even if you can’t currently watch that fantastic HBO drama,
I’d recommend looking up a ‘Best Of Tyrion Lannister’ video on YouTube right
now to see the kind of acting credentials we’re looking at here. The dwarf
star’s role in the new X-Men film has
not yet been specified, but it is rumoured he will play the short mutant Puck
as it seems both his figure and personality will fit the role well!
We’ll have
more casting announcements news on the film as we get them. X-Men: Days Of Future Past travels into
cinemas worldwide on July 18th, 2014.
