The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Release Date Announced

Yep, you read right: almost a year before the release of the first movie in the rebooted franchise, Sony Pictures have announced the release date for the second Amazing Spider-Man film. Apparently nowadays there's no need to see if the predecessing instalment succeeds in cinemas to go about comissioning a sequel, or at least that's the clear sign we're getting here. It's a good omen, then, that the initial trailer for next year's The Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield in the titular role along with Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans, looked very promising, and as such more stories with the new Webbed Wonder will probably feel welcome once we've watched it next Summer. The Amazing Spider-Man is coming July 3rd, 2012 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will hit on May 2nd, 2014.
