The past fortnight has seen the confirmation of several release dates for many anticipated video games formerly set simply for release later this year. Here's the list of dates you should write down in your calendars:
KINECT SPORTS: SEASON TWO- The first Kinect Sports turned out to be quite a surprise in the peripheral's launch line-up, so it will be interesting to see whether adding golf, tennis and other events to the roster helps craft a fluid sequel. US gamers get this one on October 27th, and we're receiving it the next day.
SUPER MARIO 3D LAND- Will this first Mario game for 3DS be too easy as some critics are suggesting? Let's hope not, but we'll find out for sure on November 4th.
SONIC GENERATIONS- I'm thinking this just might be a surprise hit, really successfully blending 2D and 3D platforming for a great anniversary celebration. It's also here November 4th.
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: SKYWARD SWORD- We'll finally get our hands on the last big Wii title on the same day as Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, November 18th. The question is, with Modern Warfare 3 out earlier that month and those bigguns on the same day, will the series' loyal fanbase be enough to keep it high in the charts?
MARIO KART 7- This promising 3DS racer, boasting flight and underwater sections amidst the classic Mario Kart gameplay, is due December 2nd.
