The Lord of the Rings: War In The North Release Date Confirmed

Snowblind Studios have today confirmed the release date for The Lord of the Rings: War In The North. The game, out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, is an action RPG that despite its title does not take place in the likes of Durham or Lancashire, but rather in the northern realms of Middle Earth (as contradictory as it sounds) during the War of the Ring. Here, men, elves and dwarves fight to hold off the forces of Sauron long enough for the Fellowship to cast the One Ring into Mount Doom. Despite that sounding like a dull premise for a video game, developer Snowblind have promised the story is a deep expansion of the LOTR universe with a host of varying ramifications possible to spawn from your in-game actions. War In The North will reach our shores on November 4th. Can it withstand Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Sonic Generations, Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Saint's Row: The Third, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, all out too that same month?
