Halo: Anniversary Kinect Support To Be Minor

Those of you expecting Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary to have fully fledged Kinect integration, turning it into a flawless motion shooter like never seen before, may be disappointed to here that that just won't be the case. Speaking to the Official Xbox Magazine, 343 Industries' franchise development director Frank O'Connor has said: "We don't even have a date pencilled in for that announcement [of what the Kinect features are]. I don't think it's going to be something people need to be hyper-excited about. It'll be cool, but not something you'd put on the front of the box. I don't want to downplay it, but I think of it like this- I use voice control on Netflix and it's awesome, and that's what this will be. Something that enhances your overall experience. It won't affect the core gameplay in any way." This would probably explain why there's no sign of the purple 'Better with Kinect sensor' on the game's front cover, although that could be subject to change. O'Connor's specific mention of voice control seems to give fuel to the rumours that voice control may be used to control the menu screens and Theatre Play mode, thus having no real effect on the core gameplay. Either way, I'm just happy to have something to do with Kinect for the first time in a while, especially merged with this awesome game! Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary hits stores on November 15th.
