Robin To Appear In Arkham City's Campaign?

Rocksteady Studios recently announced that Robin would appear as a playable character in the challenge maps of their forthcoming game Batman: Arkham City. However, it seems that there may be more to this cameo than meets the eye. Speaking to NowGamer at a press event, marketing manager Dax Ginn said: "We've announced Robin, but I think people are going to understand why we made that decision when they see the depth of which he's involved in the game." If that doesn't point to Tim Drake's crime-fighting Boy Wonder forming a prominent part of the single player campaign, I don't know what does! It's unlikely he'll be playable, as Rocksteady has stated multiple times that the experience is primarily focused on Batman, with only a few diverse missions featuring a playable Catwoman, and that's only because her styles of stealth maneovures and combat are so different to those of the Dark Knight, whereas under his guidance Robin is far more similar to Bruce Wayne's Caped Crusader. Certainly, Rocksteady have promised that the main storyline, said to last over 15 hours, will keep up a speedy pace and constantly surprise you, just like Arkham Asylum (10/10) did with one of the best single-player experiences of recent times. With Gamescom just around the corner (August 17th), and the game just two months from release, expect more news on Robin's role very soon! Batman: Arkham City is out on the 21st of October.
