It's been a busy old summer, hasn't it? Of course, we're not done yet, not by a long shot, but in this time of warmth and relaxation everyone needs a bit of a break. As such, I'm going to stop posting on the blog for a fortnight or so, finally stepping out of the house to get some sunlight and make the most of the surprisingly pleasant British weather from this Sunday, August 7th. Never you fear, though, as On-Screen will be back bigger and better than ever on Sunday, August 21st. I know I've said 'bigger and better than ever' before, and it may not have always seemed like that was the case after a hiatus- this time, I'm putting an emphasis on making some big changes, especially with a whole Autumn of exciting films, video games and television shows to come. Just think of this as a time for me to get some ideas for new and innovative ways to keep things interesting in the remaining months of 2011, and take it as a time of your own for some much-needed relaxation. If the wait does feel agonising, though, I can at least give you a taste of what's to come before and after the hiatus...
BEFORE AUGUST 7TH- The latest episodes of Torchwood and Camelot rated; a preview of Doctor Who: Series Six Part Two; and (although this one's not a promise) quite possibly a brand new film rated just days after its national release! And of course all the latest news updates on the world of entertainment.
AFTER THE HIATUS- The exciting Halo Fest covered in full detail, the Autumn of Gaming examined, previews of all the most anticipated upcoming shows and movies, reviews of Torchwood Episodes 5-7, First Born, Long Time Dead, CHERUB: People's Republic, Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, Contact Harvest, The Cole Protocol, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Cowboys & Aliens, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Doctor Who's first brand new episode Let's Kill Hitler, plus a shedload more exciting announcements and products rated, and of course the world exclusive first look at Pottermore...that not enough for you? Don't worry, that's all just the tip of the proverbial iceberg!
