The Justice League unite on consoles next week...It feels like a good while since LEGO Pirates Of The Carribbean and Harry Potter: Years 5-7 shipped on consoles back in 2011, so it's good to know that in just a few short days' time we'll have Traveller's Tales' hit child-friendly action franchise back in action with the release of LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes. Taking place after the events of the 2008 original, the game sees Lex Luthor and the Joker team up to take control of Gotham City, only for Batman to launch a campaign to stop them with the help of the Justice League. With an open world Gotham, an ambitious new sense of scale and perhaps the biggest character roster the series has seen yet, this one certainly has a lot going for it, and if everything turns out well this could easily be one of the surprise hits of this fiscal quarter. The new launch trailer for the game shows off some particular highlights of the newly unveiled E3 gameplay, and can be seen below. LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes retails on June 23rd.
