Who News: First Series Seven Part 2 Image Debuted

Our first look at the Eleventh Doctor's new companion!
Concrete news on the seventh season of Doctor Who has actually been a little slim recently. With any luck, this silence is to allow the cast and crew to continue their long and arduous filming of the fourteen episode run, and for there to be a surprise blitz of coverage later on next month as the show looks to return later on in the Summer. What we have got, though, is the first image from the second half of Series Seven (with Part 1, a five episode run, set to air from early September to mid October, and the nine episode Part 2 from Christmas Day into late February), starring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and Jenna-Louise Coleman as a mysterious character rumoured to be named Clara. More details and photos from filming of Episode 11 will emerge via the official website next week, but for now we can sleep safe in the knowledge that Matt and Jenna-Louise look great together, and that from Episode 6 (the Christmas Special) onwards we'll get to see their new relationship develop into something different to that of the Ponds altogether. Doctor Who returns this September.
