Ninja Turtles Delayed

Michael Bay's latest epic has hit a halt!
There was already a lot of angst surrounding Michael Bay's upcoming reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, but the latest development in its production has been the most worrying yet for fans. The film has ceased production as of now in order for more creative and general script refining to go on behind-the-scenes before casting and direction can even begin to be considered. Clearly Bay isn't happy yet with the direction of his latest spin on an aged, somewhat unwieldy brand of toys, so he's at least using all of the time and effort he has to make this troublesome project a successful endeavour for everyone involved. This will be a huge hit for Paramount Pictures, too, who were likely banking on Bay's influence to carry over from his past commercial success on Transformers to a new franchise of movies. Worse still, the now-projected 2014 release date would actually clash with Michael's intended release of Transformers 4 in cinemas, so it would be likely that one of the pair would have to shift out of the Summer Of Film- and let's be honest, we all know which one Paramount are likely to have more faith in come that blockbuster season. If it does indeed pick up off the ground again, then expect Ninja Turtles to reach cinemas in late 2014.
