Sherlock News: Episode 1 Title Announced

Could an Empty Hearse hold the key to Sherlock's survival?
Sherlock executive producer Mark Gatiss has today announced the name of the first episode of the third season. Set after the events of The Reicenbach Fall, the new series of three adventures will focus on this modern incarnation of Arthur Conan Doyle's detective as he reveals his survival to his closest friend, deals with a fortuitous wedding and comes to a mysterious 'bow' in a battle against a powerful new enemy. Gatiss confirmed via Twitter as the new series began filming that the first episode will be titled The Empty Hearse, riffing on the title of Conan Doyle's original return tale The Adventure Of The Empty House. The show's latest run will shoot from March to May and then enter post-production stages over the Summer. Sherlock returns this Winter on BBC1.
