Benedict Cumberbatch confirms that more from the BBC's hit detective drama is on the way...Right now, we're on the trail towards a third full season of three Sherlock mini-movies later this year, but Benedict Cumberbatch has today added another layer of excitement to the mix. The lead star on BBC1's finest detective series has confirmed that he and Martin Freeman are contracted for another commissioned season of Sherlock beyond the upcoming run. He also hints they're even contracted for a Series Five, but that right now only Series Three and Four are definite deals, the days beyond his own, Martin Freeman and Steven Moffat's availability for the foreseeable future. Nevertheless, it's a thrilling development that will have taken the show through five years should it return in early 2015. Sherlock returns to BBC1 in Winter 2013.
