George Lucas reveals that the three main stars will be back...
Star Wars creator George Lucas has today confirmed three key cast reprisals for JJ Abrams' upcoming film production of Star Wars: Episode VII. Set for release in two years' time, this ambitious project is shrouded in secrecy, yet it's at least reassuring to know that the casting process is well underway and indeed that famed stars from the franchise's past will be back to help see in the new heroes of the next trilogy. Whether the confirmed returning stars of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford will have bigger roles to play in any of the announced standalone films remains to be seen, but for now it's a positive step forward for what promises to be a truly epic production. Star Wars: Episode VII forces its way into cinemas worldwide in 2015.
