Video Corner: Comic Relief Red Nose Day Special

A selection of all the best Red Nose Day skits and sketches from the night itself...
This week on Video Corner, we're taking a slightly different approach in our mission to discover YouTube's most diverse and often hilarious offerings. Within the next few videos, you'll find what this writer believes to be the best content from Comic Relief's Red Nose Day 2013 live show that aired last Friday. There was plenty of gut-wrenching hilarity on offer in a variety of sketches based around shows such as Doctor Who, Very Important People and Gavin & Stacey, and while some of these have been copyrighted for charity iTunes purchases, a good few are available on the interweb. Here's our guide to the cream of the available crop...
CALL THE MIDWIFE/ONE BORN EVERY MINUTE- This show-combining sketch does contain stuff from the Whoniverse too, but as the BBC will only offer an official trimmed cut, you'll need to look up the hilarious full version on iPlayer.
VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE GOES TO AFRICA- A series of humorous impressions of TV celebrities courtesy of Terry Mynott were available as part of a parody of David Attentbrough's Africa. For obvious reasons, this sketch was shown later in the evening! (Go To BBC iPlayer)
SMITHY RETURNS- Red Nose Day 2013 wouldn't have been complete without the return of James Corden's Smithy onto the scene. This time around, the Gavin & Stacey character gives an inspired speech on how we should support charity in 2013. (Go To BBC iPlayer)
ROWAN ATKINSON IS THE ARCH- Sure, Rowan Atkinson's portrayal of the Archbishop of Canterbury has been met with tonnes of controversy this past week, but for those theists, agnostics and atheists alike who are willing just to let their sense of humour take over, there's tonnes to love and laugh at here...(See The Full Version On BBC iPlayer)
THE OFFICE DOES EQUALITY STREET- Everyone was eager to see what David Brent's return to the world of television would offer. I'm sure that Ricky Gervais' mock music video Equality Street will have offended some, but again it's well handled and bodes well for the confirmed YouTube return of mini Office UK episodes!
ANCHORMAN IS BACK WITH POLAR BEARS- One unexpected surprise of the evening was the return of Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy. This sketch featuring Burgundy sporting a pocketless polar bear jacket does not deserve to be missed.
THE VICAR OF DIBLEY- Geraldine's back! It's been six years since The Vicar Of Dibley graced our screens with a Red Nose Day sketch, so this is a well-deserved and fun return for Britain's most famous religious character! (See The Full Version On BBC iPlayer)
