Who News: Jenna-Louise; Chris Eccleston Teasers Land

What does the future hold for Clara and Oswin, and will the Ninth Doctor be back next year?
We've got just over three weeks until The Snowmen airs on BBC1, but before that there are still new Who news snippets here and there. Here's a round-up of a few examples of these teasers...

  • JENNA-LOUISE ON THE OSWIN MYSTERY- The question left on everyone's minds after watching Asylum Of The Daleks was this- how the heck can Jenna-Louise Coleman return to the series after playing a deceased Dalek? Jenna wasn't willing to spill the full beans on the matter, but did have this to say when asked if the Christmas Special would deal directly with Oswin Oswald's connection to new companion Clara Oswin: "Uh...mmm...no. We're going to have what has been referred to as a 'soft mystery'. That's why it's so difficult. Because of the way it started with Oswin, it's really difficult to say much: where she's from, what period she's from, what planet she's from, even!" It seems the wait to discover Oswin's true identity will carry into Series Seven Part Two, then, yet that should at least help continue an intriguing new arc for the show next Spring.
  • CHRIS ECCLESTON ON THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY: Asked at a recent press event whether he was interested in returning to Doctor Who for its 50th Anniversary episodes, Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston replied "If I told you that, I'd have to shoot you." Could this imply that as with David Tennant's similar hints to a return, both modern Doctors will appear? I'm going to bet here that Chris, David and Matt will at least do a trio special reminiscent of The Three Doctors, with cameos from Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy and/or Paul McGann not totally unlikely either. We'll have more news on this matter as we approach the New Year...
Doctor Who returns on BBC1 this Christmas Day.
