Everyone's favourite immortal slasher is back in 2014 too!
Earlier this year, fans were happily privy to Bryan Singer's Twitter reveals that James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult would be joined in their returns to the X-Men franchise by Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. Singer promised "more to come" on the front of this interweaving of two strands of the film franchise's continuity, and today we've got the first inkling of that, as another star of the classic trilogy has been confirmed to be in talks with 20th Century Fox for a role reprisal. Hugh Jackman is currently negotiating his contract for Days Of Future Past, set to reprise his character of Wolverine for a seventh consecutive time after his leads of X-Men, X-2: United, X-3: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, his cameo in X-Men: First Class and his upcoming portrayal in The Wolverine. As you'll likely have guessed, the actor is most definitely a series mainstay, so hardcore followers of the franchise will probably be pleased to see him back once again. We'll have more classic cast reveals for the superhero sequel in the New Year! X-Men: Days Of Future Past claws its way into cinemas on July 18th, 2014.
