Most gamers know that Portal 2's single-player campaign will likely be one of the funniest, most innovative and taxing experiences we play this year. What many don't know, however, is that a co-operative campaign designed for two players will also be included in the package, boasting a completely seperate storyline to the solo one! You and a friend (either in the same room or online) will control two of Aperture Science's test robots, designed to trial the latest challenge rooms in the facility by working to solve puzzles with two portal guns. To make things more difficult, though, you can only step through your own portals, not your mate's, and often the pair of you will be seperated by walls so you'll have to communicate to survive and best GlADoS's sadistic mind once more. Expect a structure similar to the original Portal (unlike the main campaign, involving new plot twists and areas), but be aware that Valve are promising the co-op mode to take double the amount of time that the first one did- that'll be about four hours, then- without the plentiful easter eggs to find, making the package great value for money considering the single-player storyline is thought to last six hours at minimum! Take a look below for the opening moments of co-op, fresh from IGN:
