No Neeson For Hangover: Part II

That cameo by Liam Neeson as a crazed drug dealer in The Hangover: Part II? Forget it- despite being confirmed as a Thai tattoo artist in the cast list, director Todd Phillips revealed today that his brief appearance in the comedy sequel was cut during editing. Speaking to Variety, Phillips told of how the scenes featuring Neeson had to be reshot and that because the actor was unavailable at the time of filming, the director called friend Nick Cassavetes, who directed The Notebook and thankfully stepped in to play the role instead. It's a real shame, as seeing Liam work with Zach Galifinakas on-screen would have been a real treat, and one that could have ensured that if it turns out to be a rubbish sequel, Part II would at least have had some credibility in its cameos. Ah well, at least Kevin Jeong and Mike Tyson are both back! The Hangover: Part II releases on May 26th.
