Portal 2 Comic, DLC Announced
I honestly think that Portal 2, the promising new puzzler by Valve out April 21st for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, has a big chance at being on many critics' Game Of The Year lists for 2011: its innovative, complex level designs already look to top those of the original, and even in a rough edit the graphics already top those found in The Orange Box add-on. With that in mind, any expansions to promote the title are more than welcome. Enter Lab Rat, a comic available exclusively on IGN that bridges the plots of the first and second games from Chell's supposed escape from GlAdOs to her being awakened thousands of years later back in the Aperture Science facility for more physics-based challenges. The new story will feature a character who inscribed on the walls of the facility to warn Chell of GlAdOs' madness and his sketchy past, now set to appear in person and who we may even meet in the actual game. Part 1 is available on IGN to read for free now (http://uk.comics.ign.com/articles/116/1160605p1.html), and Part 2 will be released on Monday. Meanwhile, Valve has confirmed that there will be downloadable content for Portal 2 available to purchase soon after its release, saying that the team "really can't give you any details until after launch, [but] we're going to have details about how that'll get released and what that'll form forthcoming". For more information on Portal 2 and the exclusive review of the game just a day after it's available, keep checking On-Screen over the next fortnight!
