Assassin's Creed 3 Details Coming Soon
Nothing's definite yet, but it looks like it might not be long until the nature of the next Assassin's Creed is revealed. A call between Ubisoft executives where one mentioned an announcement in May was picked up last month, so the developer has been quick to follow up on the rumours. Art director Mohamed Gambouz spoke to the press in Germany yesterday, stating that we can expect to hear more details on the latest instalment in the series "in the next few months". That's perhaps not as specific as you might like, however you might want to bear in mind that last year the name Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was only leaked in early May and even then the game wasn't unveiled properly until E3 in June, still releasing in its predicted November window, so odds are the same strategy is the order of the day here. Pressed on what he would do if he had complete control of the franchise, Gambouz said that "I personally would do something completely new. Maybe in an Asian or South American setting, at least nothing that we have already made. You can be sure that we read the reactions of our customers and also seriously talk through the suggestions from our players from time to time". With reveals for Mass Effect 3 and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 expected next month, it'll be a busy one- rest assured that despite the number of posts each day dropping slightly as I'm a bit too preoccupied in late May and early June, any big announcements will still be covered right here at On-Screen!
