Fresh off revealing Henry Cavrill as Clark Kent and Amy Adams as Lois Lane, director Zack Snyder has gone one step further today, revealing the name of his Superman reboot and the villain who the protagonist will face off against. The new feature film is called
Man Of Steel, and we can now confirm that this incarnation of the titular hero will enter an epic confrontation with General Zod, played by Mr Michael Shannon. Shannon has a long history in the world of movies, ranging from
Bad Boys II to
Kangeroo Jack and countless other hits, and that he often plays baddies makes him a perfect fit for the role of an oft melodramatic antihero!
Man Of Steel is set for release in December 2012.
