New Halo Waypoint Features, Celebration Revealed

The Halo Waypoint service is about to get a major update- this Friday, stat-tracking, community sharing and new game-launching options will appear on the Xbox Live program. It's hardly compensation for the lack of any announcement as to what the next Master Chief adventure will entail under 343 Industries, but at least there's some development for the wider franchise after months without map packs or updates. Thankfully, that's not all...a motion comic will première on Halo Waypoint this Friday. Called The Mona Lisa, the new story takes place after the events of the original game, Combat Evolved, based around the titular spaceship that apparently houses a threat even more terrifying than the Covenant which a group of UNSC Marines must face off against. Even better still, Microsoft will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of the franchise this August at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, showing off all the Halo games so far and perhaps revealing the series' future! Halo 4 is rumoured to be announced at E3 and released next year.
