If you ever played the original side-scrolling Sonic The Hedgehog games and think that no later entry in the franchise ever lived up to them, prepare to be excited at the teaser trailer for the new Sonic title set to be released this Autumn to celebrate the iconic SEGA character's 20th Anniversary. As you can probably see from the screenshot and the actual video below, both the current incarnation and classic version of the hedgehog look to work together in the next instalment, possibly via time travel or perhaps in the same way that Spider-Man: Edge Of Time will be set in two timelines and allow players to switch between them. No details on graphics, plot or game-play have been unveiled yet, but the game- rumoured to be called Sonic Generations- is confirmed for release in Autumn 2011.
