Camelot Cancelled
Starz's new fantasy drama Camelot has gone down in a hit both in America and overseas (i.e. here on Channel 4), but it looks like the US network has opted not to commission a second season of the programme, in other words cancelling the show. If rumours are to be believed, the cancellation is due to lead Jamie Campell-Bower (Arthur) having been offered a new role on another Irish drama, and the schedules being too difficult for Campell-Bower to work around and participate in both roles. Let's be honest, if King Arthur wasn't in Camelot, the show would suffer very badly considering its premise is the character's rise into the legend we know and cherish, so if the reports are correct then Starz axing the show makes sense. Nevertheless, with five episodes of the show left to air on Channel 4 this Summer, it will be a real shame to see a great drama such as this disappear so quickly.
