New Game Announcements Round-Up

A few brand new video games have been announced this week by various publishers and developers, so here's a general summary of the latest news:

  • New studio Tubby Games (I know, great name!) will head a Wii music series based around the Now! That's What I Call Music albums, allowing players to sing and dance to the latest big tracks. The first game- featuring music from Jessie J, Rihanna and JLS- is due for release this Winter.
  • EA held their Summer Showcase yesterday, revealing new downloadable games NBA Jam: On Fire, Need for Speed Shift 2 (iPad) and Burnout Crash!, a top-down racer featuring Kinect compatibility for 360 and also out for PS3, for release later this year, plus new DLC for Dragon Age II called Legacy.
  • Bethesda announced Dishonored, a new futuristic role-play game featuring FPS controls, for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next year.
  • Finally, Activision and Warner Brothers revealed that new previews of Batman: Arkham City and the next James Bond game (rumoured to be a HD GoldenEye remake) respectively will debut at ComicCon on July 21st.
