X-Men, Spider-Man Pre Order Bonuses Revealed

The bonus costumes available when you preorder upcoming superhero video games X-Men: Destiny and Spider-Man: Edge of Time from select retailers have today been revealed. If you preorder Destiny, a third person action adventure title featuring a storyline of multiple paths, you get a free downloadable Havok costume for use on any of the three playable characters which increases their damage and stun abilities. Meanwhile if you order Edge of Time before release you'll get four new suits for Spidey- Dusk, Prodigy, Ricochet and Hornet (shown here)- that increase health and damage and can be worn throughout. Havok is a classic character in the X-Men lore, brother to Cyclops who can channel his laser powers through his suit, while the four suits the Webbed Wonder can don are taken from the Identity Crisis storyline where Peter Parker tried to become a different kind of hero. Whether either bonus will have a dramatic effect on its respective title's gameplay remains to be seen, but for Marvel fans they might prove deciding factors as to where and when they buy the games! X-Men: Destiny is out September 30th, and Spider-Man: Edge of Time retails this October.
