UK Film Charts: July 10th-17th

Heard of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2? Of course not, but just in case you have, you’ll probably already have realised that it’s doing very well in cinemas across the world. It’s eclipsed The Dark Knight as the best-selling film in an opening three day weekend, raising over $160 million in America alone since last Friday. Will it beat out Titanic and Avatar? Unlikely, since the advertising campaign hasn’t got the oomph to match those titans yet, but perhaps when it picks up pace things will get exciting (just like the overall quality of the film itself- slow, yet when it picks up exhilarating!). Elsewhere, Transformers and The Hangover: Part II are still performing well, however it’s fairly plain to see which film is on top, and that is likely to be the case for sometime now!
10. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES
9. BAD TEACHER
8. THE HANGOVER: PART II
7. ZINDAGI NA MILEGE DOBARA
6. THE TREE OF LIFE
5. THE GUARD
4. KUNG FU PANDA 2
3. BRIDESMAIDS
2. TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON
1. HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART TWO
