Lord of the Rings: War In The North Release Window Confirmed

Upcoming fantasy video game Lord of the Rings: War In The North has today been given a release window of Q3 2011 by developer Snowblind Studios. The title, published by Warner Bros Interactive, has a plot that runs in parallel with the main trilogy's tale of Frodo's attempts to destroy the One Ring. Here, we see a vicious war raging in the northern parts of Middle Earth (sorry to anyone who assumed that name meant fights on the border of England and Scotland!) between humans and Orcs to gain as much territory as possible. Dull as that may sound initially, Snowblind seem to have constructed an exciting open-ended role play game that any player can instantly become engrossed in, a title with a wealth of replay value sure to appeal to hardcore Rings fans and RPG fans alike. Q3 2011 translates here as July, August and September, so you can probably expect War In The North to arrive in stores next month or during the early days of Autumn!
