Although the rest of the world of entertainment seems to be in a state of momentary silence right now since the Olympics have reached their conclusion, the movie and video gaming industries are still moving forward with a couple of big new releases this week. Here's the big releases that you need to look out for in the next seven days...
KEITH LEMON: THE FILM- I've always loved great British movies, and in terms of stellar laugh-out-loud comedies they don't look to come much better than Keith Lemon: The Film! Featuring cameos from hordes of stars including Kelly Brooke, Gary Barlow, Jedward, David Hasslehoff and Paddy McGuinness, this really promises to be a great cult hit with little else new coming our way. (Friday 20th)
TRANSFORMERS: FALL OF CYBERTRON- High Moon Studios are back with a stellar sequel to their brilliant 2010 video game Transformers: War Of Cybertron, this time depicting the demise of the titular planet in the lead-up to Michael Bay's blockbuster trilogy. Will this be Game Of The Year material? We'll have a verdict on this much-anticipated follow-up very soon...(Friday 20th)
AND THERE'S MORE- Battleship lands on DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow, plus New Super Mario Bros 2 hits games retailers everywhere on Friday, so why not check out those exciting new releases if you missed them first time around?
ON THE BLOG- We'll be bringing you all of the latest news, previews, reviews and features as always. It's a quieter week than usual, but there should still be some worthwhile announcements on the way.
AND NEXT WEEK...The Watch and Total Recall arrive in cinemas next week, plus we get my Most Anticipated Release of the month Skulduggery Pleasant: Kingdom Of The Wicked in hardback and digital form! Doctor Who may well be back for Asylum Of The Daleks too, but we'll keep you posted on that front...
