Our first look at the storyline of the new X-Men movie spin-off!It won't be a direct sequel to X-Men Origins, but nevertheless new X-Men spin-off film The Wolverine carries the heavy weight of fans' expectations after Hugh Jackman's last mutant-tastic outing disappointed greatly in cinemas. We've now got the brief narrative synopsis for this adaptation of the classic Wolverine story arc, and it goes something like this: "Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed." The original arc took place after the events of the titular franchise team's creation and also saw Logan married to his one true love, but this will likely be a prequel to the main X-Men trilogy as Origins was, so it will be interesting to see what road the team decide to take in terms of the narrative's ramifications. The Wolverine launches on July 26th, 2013.
