Guillermo Del Toro's horror video game project won't see the light of day!
The formerly announced video game inSANE has been scrapped, THQ have confirmed this week. Set to be helmed by the visionary film director Guillermo De Toro, the game's narrative and gameplay features were unknown to the wider public, but for obvious reasons the talent at the head of it kept everyone optimistic that the developers could produce a real winner for release in 2014. The scrapping of this project follows a recent conference call from the publisher, where they confirmed that all impending mobile and Facebook games currently in the works were to be left aside too. THQ is certainly struggling in these tough financial times for the gaming industry, and we here at On-Screen want to wish them the best of luck in their future endevours. THQ's main remaining projects are Darksiders II (out later this month), Metro: Last Light (due February 2013), South Park: The Stick Of Truth (March 2013), Homefront 2 (Autumn 2013) and Saint's Row 4 (next Winter).
