One of the PlayStation 2's defining video game experiences comes to mobiles next month.
Rockstar Games have today announced the development of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Mobile for release on handheld devices in the near future. An upgraded version of the 2004 open-world shooter of the same name (well, sans Mobile), the port follows GTA III and Vice City in the team's release schedule for 2013.
San Andreas Mobile will boast touch-screen controls, reworked visual technology and enhanced character and vehicle models. Fans have bemoaned the tetchy driving controls of the handheld versions of previous instalments- if Rockstar aspire for the universal acclaim which GTA V received to be repeated here, then that flaw has to be their primary focus of refinement!
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Mobile launches on iOS, Android, Kindle and Windows Phone devices in December.
