Smallville: Booster Synopsis Revealed

After Clark's dark run-in with a vengeful Jonathan Kent on April 15th in Kent, Smallville will need a boost into the light, and what better way to do that than with Episode Eighteen, Booster? Introducing DC comic heroes Booster Gold and Blue Beetle, the episode will add further conflict as to whether the future Superman should step into the limelight and show his face to the world or if it is better to stay hidden as the Blur. With the return of the show for its final ever run of episodes nearing very close, the full synopsis for Booster (due to air in the US on Friday April 23rd) is here: "After everything that happened with the Vigilante Registration Act, Lois tells Clark it's best to make his human persona forgettable and awkwards so people don't suspect he's the Blur. However, the two are stunned when a fame-hungry superhero from the future, Booster Gold (Eric Martsolf), sweeps into town and wins over the city of Metropolis. During one of his saves, an alien weapon fuses itself to Jaime Reyes (Jaren Brandt Bartlett), turning him into the Blue Beetle. Unfortunately, Jaime is unable to control the suit and Blue Beetle starts attacking Metropolis". Why so close to the finale the producers of the programme chose a) to introduce new DC characters and b) not focus more on Lex's return and Darkseid's plans is beyond me, but hopefully Booster will send Smallville in the right direction for a brilliant climax!
