The Earth's Mightiest Heroes re-assemble to battle their ultimate foe next Summer.
Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios have today released the first promotional images (below) of their upcoming superhero ensemble blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. Tying together the events of Iron Man 3, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy, the highly anticipated sequel will once again be written and directed by The Cabin In The Woods and Much Ado About Nothing's Joss Whedon.
With good reason, we shan't waste much of your time by describing what said images entail. In short, the first depicts Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, while the second pic features Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver (who'll also be seen amongst the ensemble of X-Men: Days of Future Past this May, though played by Evan Peters instead and coming off the back of a very different origins story) and the last two follow Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark as he re-dons his Iron Man armour (now in the form of the classic Hulkbuster model) in the midst of an intense battle with Mark Ruffalo's Incredible Hulk. As if the wait until next Summer hadn't seemed long enough already, these glorious visual previews are sure to make that extensive period more difficult to endure than ever before.
Avengers: Age of Ultron hacks into cinemas worldwide on May 1st, 2015.
