HBO's cult smash-hit will return at precisely the same time here and in the States...
Sky have today announced the simultaneous broadcast of the season première of the fourth season of HBO's fantasy drama Game of Thrones in the US and the UK. Loosely based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R.R. Martin, the series airs on Sky Atlantic here and the HBO channel itself Stateside.
In case you missed the news earlier this month, the first episode of Season Four goes by the name Two Swords. While that title could have all sorts of metaphorical implications (nothing's ever quite off limits in the world of Thrones, after all), those lucky enough to have read A Storm of Swords already will know that it's likely to have at least one literal manifestation within the episode's standalone narrative as well. Quite frankly, it's the second episode of the new run which we're most excited about, for reasons that will immediately become apparent when The Lion and the Rose broadcasts in a few weeks' time.
Game of Thrones returns for its devastating fourth season on Sky Atlantic at 2am (GMT) this April 7th.
