Film4 Productions have today announced the UK release date for the upcoming sequel to their hit 2011 comedy film The Inbetweeners Movie. Now officially titled The Inbetweeners 2, the follow-up will see Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas reprise their roles as Will, Jay, Neil and Simon respectively as the gang heads to Australia for the ultimate gap year experience.
Since this particular announcement marks one of the definitive steps in terms of the film industry's finalisation of the structure of this year's Summer of Film, we're going to do things a little differently in our coverage. We could give you all of the gossip on the sequel's supporting cast, including Emily Berrington (who did a wonderful job in the role of Stacy in Outnumbered's final season this month), Freddie Stroma (who played the Gryffindor student Cormac McLaggen in the final three Harry Potter films) and David Field (an esteemed Aussie thespian), but instead, we're going to provide a comprehensive summary of the Spring and Summer film line-up (with the hottest releases marked in yellow for your reading convenience)...
