Microsoft Game Studios have this week announced the development of twenty-five new independent video game titles for their Xbox One console. The news comes via the 2014 Game Developers' Conference (GDC), and should elicit a sigh of relief from those fans who've been lamenting the absence of indie developers from the third-party roster ever since the console's launch last November.
Precise details on what to expect from each of the titles in question (all of which are part of an ambitious indie programme which was launched late in 2013 and is dubbed ID@Xbox) are scarce right now, but we've got a full list of the newly-announced projects nonetheless. Read on to discover the name of each and every one of the major independently-developed titles coming to Xbox One in the first half of 2014:
- 1001 Spikes
- Calibre 10 Racing Series
- CastleStorm
- Chariot
- Chuck's Challenge 3D
- Contrast
- Divekick Addition Edition +
- Forced by BetaDwarf ApS
- FRU
- Gucamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition
- Gunscape
- Habitat
- Hyper Light Drifter
- It Draws a Red Box
- Nujitsu
- Pinball Arcade
- Q.U.B.E. Director's Cut
- Riptide GP2
- Roundabout
- Sixty Second Shooter Prime
- Spectra: 8-Bit Racing
- Strike Suit Zero
- Super Time Force
- The Last Tinker
- Wulverblade
This new wave of ID@Xbox titles will launch on Xbox One in the Spring and Summer months, with more projects presumably set to be announced at E3 2014 in June.
