We know that the project is well and truly underway!
Earlier this year, Ubisoft's film studio branch were pleased to confirm that an Assassin's Creed movie project was in development with Michael Fassbender as its lead star. It turns out that wasn't the only step forward we'd get this year, as today it has been announced that New Regency Pictures will produce the flick, confirming that it is most definitely in the works. The intention right now is for shooting to commence next Summer once Fassbender is done with filming for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, although the time-scale of the narrative has yet to be revealed: could it be that the film focuses entirely on Altair or Ezio Auditore, or perhaps there'll be interweaving timelines with Fassbender playing both past and modern heroes? Whatever the outcome, it's an exciting project we'll be keeping our eyes on with eager anticipation. Assassin's Creed will likely debut in cinemas during 2014, but for now you can catch our Assassin's Creed III review coming up next week shortly after release day.
