This year's biggest multi-platform racer heads to next-gen in 2013...
Playground Games have already played their racing video game hand for 2012 with the release of Forza Horizon this past week (our review of which will land closer to Christmas), and of course Activision have their much anticipated open-worlder Need For Speed: Most Wanted to contend with in the next couple of weeks. The publisher has this week announced that it is expanding the experience of Most Wanted to the next-generation, with a release for the Nintendo WiiU console confirmed. "Nintendo fans will be able to experience what it means to be Most Wanted amongst their friends on the WiiU," or so the press release goes, with rumours of social features and multi-player exclusive to the hardware now not seeming so unprecedented. Expect more details on this ported version to arrive shortly after the 360, PS3, PC, Vita, iOS and Android release. Need For Speed: Most Wanted hits those consoles on November 2nd, while the WiiU version will head to retail in Spring 2013.
