Morgana returns to wreak havoc as Merlin continues next week!If there was any doubting that this season wouldn't be arc-heavy every week, then the release of a plot synopsis for the fourth episode of Merlin, The Blood Reign, should lay it to rest. Kate McGrath's Morgana doesn't look to have an appearance in Episode Three, so fans of her character will no doubt be pleased to see that she's back in full force to wreak havoc in the kingdom of Camelot once more.
Here's the synopsis for the episode: "With Princess Mithian (Janet Montgomery) as the perfect bait, Morgana conjures a deception so powerful that the whole of Camelot is taken in- even Merlin himself. But as the storm clouds gather, will the young warlock see through the lies? Or will Morgana at long last fulfill her dreams of revenge?"
Although at first the answers to those last two questions appear relatively straightforward, if anything we should know from the events of Arthur's Bane not to trust our instincts on the show this time around. Merlin continues tomorrow on BBC1 at 8.05pm, while The Blood Reign airs next week.
