Find out what the critics are saying on two big new game releases...
The Autumn Of Gaming is now in full flow, with dozens of new releases hitting every week, so it's a great idea to keep an eye on how the critics are recieving each title when we're trying to decide what to buy. Hitman Absolution and Need For Speed: Most Wanted are both among the more varied and diverse of new games out there, and now we've got the first reviews. Here's the round-up...
NEED FOR SPEED: MOST WANTED
OFFICIAL XBOX MAGAZINE (8/10)- "Most Wanted's only real flaw is that it doesn't do anything new, but that doesn't make Criterion's triumph a triumph of rearrangement- the studio has empowered players to do the arranging themselves."
HITMAN ABSOLUTION
OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE (9/10)- "Here Hitman has finally been perfected in what is probably a peak for the series so far. It takes the ideas that made the original games so great and presents them in a modern context of checkpoints, hints and forgiveness but without sacrificing any of the challenge or excitement of pulling off a beautifully planned hit!"
OFFICIAL XBOX MAGAZINE (9/10)- "Everything about the world revolves around entertaining you, whether it's the wide scope of murder options or the amazing dialogue in between. Whatever kind of killer you decide to be, Absolution is an unmissable hit."
Need For Speed: Most Wanted launches on November 2nd and Hitman Absolution on the 20th, with my review of the latter set to hit shortly after release day.
