Marvel News: Wolverine Poster & Details Released

Find out where the new X-Men movie fits into the series' timeline!
As well as releasing the great stylistic new promotional poster for their new X-Men movie The Wolverine, producers 20th Century Fox have begun to unveil new details on their upcoming superhero thriller movie. Chatting with Empire on the matter of where the latest entry in the mutant saga sits in its franchise's continuity, director James Mangold was surprisingly forthcoming about the placement of the storyline in the overall lore. "Where this film sits in the universe of the films is after them all," the director says, "Jean Grey is gone, most of the X-Men are disbanded and gone, so there's a tremendous sense of isolation for him." It's intriguing to think that the rumoured sequel to 2009's duff prequel is in fact a follow-up that takes place after X-Men, X2: United, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men: First Class, but with any luck that should help things feel rather fresh and unique in comparison to the recent prequel effort. Expect a full new trailer for the anticipated flick in the next few weeks online. The Wolverine claws its way into cinemas on July 26th, 2013.
