Find out who Joss Whedon will introduce in the premiere episode of Marvel's live-action TV show...
A casting call for the pilot episode of Joss Whedon's new Marvel Universe-set television series S.H.I.E.L.D. has today confirmed some of the influential characters we may see feature on the show. First up is Skye, a mid-20s woman who the audition details describe as "fun, smart and confident with an ability to get the upper hand using her wit and charm", then there's the "physically capable but socially awkward" Agent Grant Ward, plus the "hardcore, damaged weapons expert" Agent Althea Rice and finally tech wiz Agent Leo Fitz and science genius Agent Jemma Simmons who apparently hold a "sibling relationship". Although these brief character synopses don't exactly give us much of an indication of what the show will entail or indeed the enemies from the Marvel Universe who will feature, they're at least confirmation that development on the pilot episode is well and truly underway! The S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot will air in late 2013.
