Filling The Doctor Who Void- News Roundup (20th February-11th March)

Filming kicks into full gear, with some big announcements these past few weeks...
This recent period has had some peaks and troughs in terms of the regularity of Doctor Who news, so I've waited a few weeks to do a round-up, but without further ado here's everything that's been going on...
FILMING FRENZY- Series Seven has finally begun shooting, with scenes including a few parts at the house of Amy and Rory Pond, a mysterious romp over at the set of Bad Wolf Bay and the Byzantium and loads more...Mark Williams (aka Arthur Weasley in Harry Potter) and David Bradley (aka Argus Filch) are also confirmed for Chris Chibnall's Episode 2 from DWM.
GUESTS AT THE TABLE- We've got confirmation from DWM that Saul Metzstein (director of a lot of the Being Human drama) will helm the second and third episodes of the season, crafted by Chris Chibnall and Toby Whithouse respectively. Meanwhile, Nick Hurran (The Girl Who Waited, The God Complex) has the job of bringing Episodes One and Five- both penned by Steven Moffat, and rumour has it the 2012 season's opener and finale- to screen.
ETERNITY TRAILER- Below you can see a brand new 'Epic' trailer for Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock, the downloadable game featuring Matt as the Doctor and Alex Kingston as River!
THE ADVENTURES END- Sadly, though, we won't see the return of The Adventure Games on PC this year. The BBC Worldwide team have confirmed that The Gunpowder Plot was the final instalment in the free-to-play series of games, unless we get another surprise one due to demand for the 50th Anniversary.
SKINNING THE DETAILS- Executive producer Caroline Skinner has been teasing Series Seven in an interview with SFX: she says Steven Moffat's opener will "blow everyone's minds", the scripts that have been completed so far are "epic and very exciting" and as to the possibility of the Zygons being one of the classic enemies to return this season...well, "wait and see!"
THE PREQUELS ARE BACK- Just a quick one: the official website has confirmed that we will get more prequels to new episodes of Who for the upcoming run.
WHITHOUSE EPISODE DETAILS- DWM have also confirmed a few details on Toby Whithouse's Series Seven episode. Apparently titled The Gunslingers, the story will take place in the Wild West, feature Adrian Scarbrough, Ben Browder and Rob Cavezos and is currently being shot over in Spain right now. If every episode will vary as much as this seems to from the past, we're in for a very exciting run! Toby went on to confirm that he knows a few details about the new companion too, which may suggest he's writing for him/her/it in the 2013 seasons!
MOFFAT'S MONSTERS- Whilst confirming that Amy and Rory's departure will sadly ensure that the Ponds are "gone forever", Steven Moffat has revealed that the majority of this season's adversaries will be new monsters rather than returning ones. He said: "New monsters are always better in Doctor Who because you fall in love with monsters when they're new. One of the temptations, particularly if it's a success is to keep repeating your hits, which means you hear it again and again and again."
COMING UP FOR WHO IN MARCH
SHADA- This novelisation of Douglas Adams' lost classic is looking like a great retrospective piece from Gareth Roberts, and it's out this Thursday.
THE CONVENTION- For fans over in Cardiff, the Doctor Who Convention is a huge chance to go behind-the-scenes on the series, and although I can't be there I'll bring you all the new Series Seven details from the event! Don't be surprised if we even get a teaser trailer for the new episodes...
THE DAEMONS- We're getting another classic Jon Pertwee DVD on Monday the 26th as well.
FILMING CONTINUES- Of course filming will be developing too, and hopefully next month's DWM will shed more light on the 2012 season's running order and writing team!
