First Mass Effect 3 Reviews Published

So...how is it?
Over in the States, Mass Effect 3 has already shipped- that means players are well underway with their first playthroughs of what promises to be one of the best games of 2012. While they're doing that, several critics have provided their own verdicts on the sci-fi shooter, and you can see a summary of that below...
IGN (95%)- "ME3 is an absolutely amazing game- it looks and plays great, but its true strength lies in its ability to tell a deeply-woven story. BioWare deserves applause for pulling off this finale with such exceptional poise and skill."
EUROGAMER (10/10)- "A game that transcends the genre boundaries of old and takes what it needs from across the gaming spectrum in order to finish its story in the most compelling, thrilling and heartbreaking way possible."
OFFICIAL XBOX MAGAZINE UK (10/10)- "Everything you've worked for is genuinely at risk, and horrifying things are going to happen because of the choices you've made. If you've spent as long as we have with these characters, the impact of this final journey will be one you won't forget for years."
OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE UK (10/10)- "Almost no games manage to establish the kind of white-hot emotional connection between player, cast and setting that Mass Effect 3 somehow conjures. That's the reason this story of Earth, the galaxy and Shepherd's last story is so harrowing, and why people will be talking about it for years to come."
THE GUARDIAN (5/5)- "More than ever, the Mass Effect universe pulls off the masterful trick of feeling huge and yet believable- the game's production values are through the roof, and its controls incredibly precise, response and accurate given the series' immense scope."
So it's all thumbs up for Mass Effect 3 so far then- my review of the game (including its online and Kinect modes) will be with you next week!
