Coming Up This Week: June 24th-30th

Deadpool returns, Doctor Who's regenerations are revealed and This Is The End hits cinemas in the seven days ahead!
June appears to have been one of the quickest months of 2013 yet, especially shown as we're now entering its final week already! Nevertheless, this midpoint month still has one or two treats in store for us, and as our weekly Coming Up This Week feature returns, we'll summarise them all right here.

Without further ado, then, let's dive into the offerings in the days ahead. Here's a round-up of the biggest releases coming between today and June 30th...
DOCTOR WHO: REGENERATION- "It's the end- but the moment has been prepared for." In order to fully kick off their 50th Anniversary celebrations on DVD, BBC Worldwide are bringing us a big box-set of all of the regenerations that have taken place with Doctor Who's main titular hero. Yes, you can purchase The Tenth Planet, The War Games, Planet of the Spiders, Logopolis, The Caves of Androzani, Time and the Rani, TV Movie, Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways and The End of Time together for the first time, along with a leatherbound book featuring all eleven Doctors. At £60, it's quite an asking price, though, especially if you already have the majority of the stories, so with The Tenth Planet available separately this November, it's a good idea to think before you leap in this case. (Monday 24th)
DEADPOOL- It's a NEW GAME! Apologies if the overexcitement seems rather bizarre, only Deadpool: The Video Game marks the first big game release since Injustice: Gods Among Us, which is quite a landmark moment for the industry. Marvel have constantly been trying to reach the success of DC's Batman: Arkham franchise, and this marks their latest attempt. We'll just have to wait and see if this wisecracking, fourth wall-breaking new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 title was worth the wait...(Friday 28th)
THIS IS THE END- The latest Summer of Film release is something more of an 'indie' outing than what's come before. In This Is The End, Seth Rogen, James Franco and other stars playing themselves host a grand Friday night party...but nothing spoils a party like the end of the world! That's quite a tagline, and this apocalyptic comedy starring Emma Watson, Rihanna and more is looking like a truly ace viewing experience. (Friday 28th)
AND THERE'S MORE- Although this week is hardly crammed with 'extra' releases, there are still a few. This Is 40, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and Song For Marion all hit DVD and Blu-Ray retailers today. We're fairly light on new game releases, so for now it's probably best to just be happy that Deadpool is around to provide a highlight...
AND NEXT WEEK...Jesse Eisenberg, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman witness a magic trick like no other in the much-anticipated blockbuster Now You See Me, Emma Watson returns in a big screen adaptation of a shocking true story with The Bling Ring, and the Destiny of the Doctor range continues to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who with its Seventh Doctor adventure, Shockwave!
