Much as I was disappointed with Treyarch's
Call of Duty: Black Ops, even I had to admit that as per normal Infinity Ward's demo of their
Modern Warfare 3 at E3 was incredible to behold, and seeing as
MW2 was one of the best first person shooters of the last decade there's huge potential for this to do the same for the 2010s. Very little is known about the plot yet other than basically beginning with a third World War, but that premise in itself is exciting enough to keep us anticipating its release in November, and with the promise of the return of Spec Ops (part of what made the last game such a success) and the classic online multiplayer this is sure to be a brilliant package. The question is, is that enough...?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is out November 8th.
