What Is Pottermore? Plus A New Deathly Hallows Trailer

Is there life in the Harry Potter franchise after the release of the final book and film, The Deathly Hallows? It appears there might be, if author JK Rowling's unveiling of a mystery new site called Pottermore is anything to go by. Currently the homepage simply says the domain name, 'Coming soon...' and shows Rowling's signature to make it official, but rumour has it either it is about to launch as a Potter-themed social networking site or may be the key to a new book in the best-selling series of novels. Rowling has not yet commented as to the purpose of the site, but keep checking back at On-Screen for more info. Meanwhile, a new trailer for Deathly Hallows: Part Two is out, and sufficed to say it contains loads of never before seen footage of Harry, Ron and Hermionie's race to Gringotts to obtain another Horcrux and the deadly twists that the Battle of Hogwarts will hold...At 130 minutes, this will be the shortest film of the lot, but considering how tiresome some scenes in those entries which were nearly three hours became (much of Half Blood Prince was too romance orientated) that's probably a very good thing! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two is out on July 15th.
